My mentor possesses a number of qualities I would like to nurture within myself. One of them being her extreme intelligence, Jie Dong graduated from San Fransisco State University with a Masters Degree in Computer Science with a 3.94. She completed an internship at NASA Ames Research Center. She’s an amazing woman who came from another country, learned more than one language and is now giving back by being my mentor. Moving forward I would like to ask her how she did it emotionally? What motivated her? What was her biggest challenge? How did she overcome it? I’d like to ask these questions because I’d like some insight into her strength intelligence and process with challenges. My mentor and I have established meetups and resume reviewals. She’s been kind enough to look over two of my cover letters. This week I’ve worked on two different resumes for different positions. I’ll be meeting with my mentor to ask for help revising my resume. I trust her expertise and believe she has my best interest in mind.
